Building a great developer community

Hey, current and future Twitch developers!

I wanted to post a quick blog to introduce myself. I’m Dallas Tester, the Developer Programs Manager here at Twitch. Just for a quick background about me, I started gaming with the Atari 2600 but got really into it when I played my first RPG — Dragon Warrior on the NES. These days, I play a little bit of everything but have a huge obsession with Overwatch. It reminds me of my Quake 3 Arena days.

Good question, Bobs. If you haven’t read about it, Twitch has a Developer Success program. I’m a part of that team and will serve as your point of contact as you build out integrations with Twitch. That could be anything from API access to embedding video on your website to creating Stream First games. I’ll also be the voice behind @TwitchDev on Twitter and a friendly helper in the Twitch Developer Forums.

You can expect to hear about new features and changes being made to existing features. I want to ensure that you’re always prepared and have plenty of time to make any necessary changes. I’ll be producing a monthly recap if you like the TL;DR version as the platform changes.

I’m excited to be here and be a part of the community! I can’t wait to help you build some awesome new integrations with Twitch. If you need to contact me directly, you can find me on Twitch, Twitter, and in the forums!
