Updates to Cheering: Pin Top Cheer + More Settings

Last year in November we introduced the idea of Pinned Cheers, starting with pinning the most recent Cheer to the top of chat. Now we’re introducing another way to highlight your message when you Cheer. Starting today, channels with Cheering will also be able to pin the Top Cheer, the one with the highest number of Bits used, to make it more visible.

How long does the Top Cheer stay pinned? That’s up to the channel owner! He or she can reset the clock and the tracking anytime of which Cheer has the most Bits used.

Just like Recent Cheers, the streamer has control over whether to Pin Top Cheers. Pin Recent Cheer and Pin Top Cheer can both be toggled on or off anytime. We’re also giving greater control to the channel owner by introducing a setting for how long the most recent Cheer will stay pinned.

As always, we’re striving the make the Cheering experience better for viewers and streamers. Keep the great feedback coming here.
