The Twitch Extensions platform offers tools and boilerplate code so developers can build two-way communication and other interactive features between streamers, viewers, and the games being played. What Overwolf Built
Overwolf has used the Twitch Extensions platform to create seven Twitch Extensions, which fall into two main categories.
Informational Extensions
These Extensions offer live tracking of progress, standing, and other data for the games PUBG, Rocket League, Destiny, and League of Legends. Some of these are adaptations of apps currently available in the Overwolf Appstore, while others are Twitch exclusives.
PUBG Tracker overlay: Displays streamers’ global standing over the Solo, Duo, and Squad game modes, including the history of the last three matches.
Rocket League Tracker panel: Displays streamers’ skill ratings and progress.
Destiny Tracker panel: Displays streamers’ statistics and current gear loadouts.
LoLwiz overlay: Displays information on all League of Legends summoners in the streamer’s current match, including statistics, ranks, kills/deaths/assists ratio, masteries, and wins/losses.
Summoner info panel: Displays streamer’s League of Legends summoner with current runes and masteries, most played champions, and most recent ranked games.
Entertainment and Engagement Extensions
These game-agnostic Extensions help streamers entertain and engage their viewers (a crucial part of achieving Twitch Partner status).
Live Emote Reactions overlay: Allows viewers to react immediately via a flow of live emotes with customizable size, positioning, and cooldown.
Kappa Pet panel: An emote “pet” for streamers that reacts to viewers, evolves as the stream runs, goes to sleep when streamers go offline, and “dies” if ignored for too long.
